New book with participation of GECS member

We present the new book entitled "Guanacos and People in Patagonia. A Social-Ecological Approach to a Relationship of Conflicts and Opportunities" recently published by Springer Nature. The content of the book relates one of the most representative species of the Patagonian fauna, the guanaco, with human societies, including native peoples, and how this relationship has changed over time due to different land uses and productive interests.

This book provides updated information to understand these interactions, in order to contextualize the current situation of this species and, in some cases, to propose possible solutions to conflicts and to show ongoing activities aimed at sustainable use and conservation.

This book counted on the participation of several GECS members contributing their knowledge and experience in the different thematic areas addressed.

We recommend it!
